Wittenberg's McClain Center for Diversity and the Wittenberg Honor's Program co-sponsored a pumpkin painting event last Monday on Alumni Way.

Students braced the icy autumn wind and gathered around fold out tables in front of the McClain Center and Matthies House. They painted an array of unique pumpkin designs and enjoyed the complimentary hot cocoa bar.

Emily Valentine, a senior Economics Major, proudly showed off her "meta pumpkin": a finished pumpkin that had the image of a carved pumpkin on it. "I thought it would be really silly," Valentine said. "I'm one step closer to breaking the 4th dimension."

Kiki Warner, the Assistant Director of the Honor's Program, explained that the idea was to host an event that would encourage students to be artistic, spend time together, and "let off some steam."
