2026 Record-Breaking Commit to Witt
Wittenberg University's annual Commit to Witt Day of Giving saw record-breaking numbers for the second year in a row on March 19.
Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends and families alike sent 1,537 gifts for a total of $1,137,661, surpassing 2025's total of $1,104,818.
Commit to Witt allows for supporters to make an impact and ensure the university can provide an exceptional education and meaningful college experience for the students, as well as support Wittenberg's traditions and values. Participants were able to support a variety of programs, such as The Wittenberg Fund, Department and Program Support, Student Organization and Service, Scholarship Support, and Wittenberg Athletics among others.
Supporters were able to participate in fun challenges as well, such as a special free-throw challenge in the 1929 Field House that produced $26,000 from 45 donors and a "Where's Ezry the Tiger" challenge that unlocked $10,000 in support of student success. Other challenges through online means included First-Time Donor Challenge, Decades Challenges and individual sport programs challenges.
The final total is expected to grow slightly over the coming days as the donations through mail are processed.
