Two Tigers Achieve NCAC Athlete of the Week Honors

North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Athletes of the Week - January 26th

Men's Basketball - Eddie Brown

Senior forward Eddie Brown was a huge contributor to Wittenberg's conference victories, leading his team to a 73-65 win over Wabash on Jan. 21, as well as a 63-60 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Jan. 24. Brown achieved 11 points and a team leading seven rebounds, along with a block in the game vs. Wabash. The senior followed it up with a team leading 20 points, seven rebounds, and a perfect 9-9 shooting record with a 2-2 from the three-point line in the team's match vs. Ohio Wesleyan.

Brown achieved 31 points, 14 rebounds, got a 12-15 shooting record and went a perfect 3-3 for three-pointers overall this past week. The Tigers improved to a 13-5 overall record for the season with a 6-3 conference record and moved up to a three-way tie for second in the NCAC conference rankings.

Men's Track & Field - Matthew Keaton

Freshman Matthew Keaton achieved a new school record in the pole vault event at the Ashland Invitational on Jan. 24, clearing 4.65 meters to place seventh overall. The record was previously held by Jeremy Watson in 2023 at 4.31 meters. Keaton's mark leads the NCAC overall and currently ranks 25th in Division III.
