Question: Who directed the iconic movie "Titanic"? That answer could win you $100 in Witt Gold...
One of the newest changes to campus this year is weekly trivia nights. They are hosted every Thursday at Founders Pub, located in the lower level of the Benham Pence Student Center.
These events are run by Student Involvement and include a new theme and format every week. It's a great chance to connect with friends, challenge your mind, and uncover hidden knowledge in a fun, lively atmosphere.
The excitement builds with each round, as teams huddle together, debating everything from obscure historical facts to classic movie quotes. There's an undeniable thrill in the collective "aha!" moments when your team correctly guesses a tough question, and the cheers that follow a hard-earned victory are the perfect end to a mentally stimulating evening.
According to Katie Stosky, Director of Student Involvement, “Students love going to Station 1 for their trivia nights. This event was created so they don’t have to leave campus and to bring awareness to Founder’s Pub.” Station 1, a well-known bar located just off campus, is a popular destination for students. Founder’s Pub is the on-campus bar, which is located in the lower level of the Student Center, where all students can participate in trivia, and students over 21 can enjoy drinks from the bar.
Fun prizes are offered every week, with first place winners receiving $100 in Witt Gold, and second and third place winners receiving $50 in Witt Gold.
Beyond the friendly competition, these nights are a great way to unwind, learn something new, and build a sense of community, making it the highlight of the week for many.
These events help students connect to campus and new people that they may not have met otherwise. If you have any event ideas that you would like to see, you can contact Student Involvement at student-involvement@wittenberg.edu.
